Ashok Pathak and Sandip Bhattacharya (tabla) have been giving two beautiful Maharishi
Gandharva concerts at the Dubrovnik Peace Project in Croatia.
Concert organizers Paul and Katrin Davis told us:
"Last night we gave a little lecture on Maharishi Gandharva Veda at the World Peace
Assembly in Dubrovnik. And I talked about the concert in Berlin in 1993 when there was
that big fire on the evening of the concert. That summer it was hot, with no clouds to be
seen and no rain expected. When the musicians started to play a monsoon Raga, it
immediately began to lightening, thunder and rain, and the fire was extinguished. And just
when I was telling our people last night about what happened that evening in Berlin,
lightening, thunder and rain started here in Dubrovnik! That was really funny! Or was it
cosmic?"
The concerts were a big success. Everyone was touched by the brilliance of the performance
and the wonderful atmosphere which was created by those two "Celestial
Musicians" (this is one of the literal meanings of the word "Gandharvas")
